Some of us attended a splendid tour in Merton College while visiting Oxford. It is considered one of the oldest and finest colleges of Oxford University. A very nice lady from US guided us through the best gardens, rooms and also led us into the oldest library in UK which is within Merton walls. We also learnt that JRR Tolkien had been a professor in that college for ten years.
