BLESSED JOHN HENRY NEWMAN
John Henry Newman was the founder of The Oratory School. He started life as an Anglican, but during his studies, he discovered that was part of a false religion and he changed to the catholic religion. After that Pope Leon XIII proclaimed him cardinal, and then Pope Benedict XVI proclaimed him blessed in his tour in the United Kingdom.
He founded The Oratory School in 1st May 1879 for the boys of the few Catholics in England that wanted a catholic education.
